Kinesis GF Ti v2 Audax

I built this Kinesis GF Ti v2 a couple of years ago with the intent that it would be my Audax bike, a task it performs adminrably. Unfortunately, it didn’t get called into service for last years Pilgrim’s (Easter) Arrow, from St Albans to York – 441km in under 24 hours – as I had managed to geet it so dirty the previous weekend that I didn’t dare set out with it. It is, however, carrying the rack pack from the day complete with Palm Cross and I may well do a decent ride this Good Friday in memory of last year’s outing.

I built the frame up with an Ultegra groupset, but swapped out the short reach brakes for some long reach TRPs. The guards are a close fit to the 28mm Schwalbe Ones mounted on a set of fairly experimental (for Audax) wheels – A Shutter Precision SV-9 front hub with 24 radial laser spokes and 28 hole Hope rear with Lasers on the drive side and Race on the non drive side. Rims are Kinlin 31T, assymetric at the rear.

The bike has an Edelux 2 front light and you can also see the Igaro USB charger (brilliant) mounted on the headtube. All electronics go into the Restrap frame bag for safe keeping and charging.

The saddle is one of Spa Cycles lovely Aire’s. Fairly narrow and flat at the back. This one has Ti rails – courtesy of Spa!
